Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Journal Projections (operated by LukesProjections L.L.C F-Z) collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Journal Projections is a trading journal — protecting your trade data is core to how it's built.
1. Guest demo mode
If you use the guest demo, nothing you enter ever leaves your browser. There's no account and no server involved — your sample and demo trades are stored only in your browser's local storage, and clearing your browser data removes them completely.
2. Paid accounts
If you create a paid account, we collect and store:
- Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Trade journal data — the trades, notes and tags you enter into your journal.
- Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We don't collect or store your full card number; Stripe shares with us only what's needed to identify your subscription (such as your email and subscription status).
Your journal data is stored in your own private, isolated account. It's never shared with, sold to, or made visible to any other user. You can export a full backup of your data at any time from within the app.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: provide and maintain your account and journal; process payments and manage your subscription; send account-related emails (such as confirmation and password reset emails); and respond to support requests.
We don't use your trade data for advertising, and we don't sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Who we share data with
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run Journal Projections:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
- Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Resend — delivers transactional emails (such as confirmation and password reset emails).
These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember things like a plan you selected before signing up. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and journal data permanently deleted, message us on Instagram at @journalprojections and we'll take care of it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can export your data yourself at any time from within the app, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and secure password hashing — to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Children's privacy
Journal Projections isn't intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date.
